I want to start off by saying that I commend any of you who choose Medic as your primary class to play.

I love the fact that TF2 is so team based and I love that there is a medic character. That being said, I just can't bring myself to play him. It seems so boring to me. I have played him several times when team members have cried out that we need one and no one else was willing to switch, but I wasn't that successful.

If you are someone who LOVES playing Medic, I'd love to hear your thoughts on why. An example is I love playing Spy because I find great enjoyment in waiting in the shadows and then stabbing an engie in the back before he can setup his sentry. What is it about playing Medic that excites you?

I really, nowwhere near to be honest, ''main'' this class .. but I think it's great fun to just Heal a Heavy who just keeps on killing and killing, and then just at the right time slap him into Uber mode and watch how the two of you wreck Havoc & Chaos by taking out level 3 sentry nests and watch how the entire enemy team flees away.

It's also great fun to kill off Soldiers, Demomen and whatnot with a gun that shoots NEEDLES.

But isn't the Heavy (who's being healed by you, ze medic) having a whole lot more fun here?

As a combat class, the Medic does have some unique strengths going for him. For one, he's slightly faster than average, so given enough time he can outrun anything but a Scout. He also heals over time, albeit very slightly, so he doesn't always need a medpack to top off his health. His Syringe gun (whichever you choose) is a powerful weapon in close quarters, and the Bonesaw (again, whichever you choose) has a crazy crit rate.

The healing part is kinda boring, I'll give you that much, but as a Medic that's what you're supposed to do. Sooner or later, you'll have to pair up with someone to make progress for your team.

I guess it'd be really cool to become proficient at every single class so I could look at the team roster and say, "We need this class" and then play it in a manner that was a credit to the team.

I play medic a lot but don't enjoy it. Though when my team wins due to my exploits and a lot of "gj phoneix" messages start to appear in the chat, I get a warm feeling inside.

Though the medic in Battlefield 2 is funner to play. :3

I have the most hours as a medic, and when you become a good medic and dont die from a sticky every ten seconds, the class is pretty fun to play. It's like a little mini-game to try and dodge all of the bullets and explosions. A good medic can make a team for a public server in my opinion

The last time I played I forced myself to go medic every time my teammates called out for someone to switch to medic. I did get a little bit of a rush when my Uber kicked in right as the last minute was ticking down and we were able to make a rush for the point. It was too little too late, but I did feel like I was making the most significant contribution at that moment.

I love playing as medic, this game is about teamwork afterall. When i get people who are set on fire come running up to me i just think heh. Its a good thing i'm here lol. And besides, if your a really good medic then people will protect you - So you don't very often have to worry about spies because your teammates usually protect you
