Pyro help

Pyro help
I want to get better with pyro. I think I have the basics down - PYBRO, credit to team, etc. But oftentimes I find myself defaulting to w+m1, or charging into a nest of soldiers/demos and doing no lasting damage. What are the best ways for pyro to be consistently useful?

I also need to learn how to reflect rockets back. Especially the TDH which are too fucking fast. Any advice?

RE: Pyro help
-Teammate is on fire? Airblast him to put him out.

-Reflect rockets. Also try reflecting Jarate. It's always fun hitting someone with their own piss and then burning the fuck out of them.

-If you see sticky bombs before the Demoman sees you, airblast them away from you. Helpful in corner pathways.

-Until you have rocket reflecting and Jarate reflecting down, don't try reflecting arrows or stun balls until you have the hang for it.

-Airblast enemies off of ledges that lead to bottomless pits. The complaints are always priceless.

-A nice tactic when cornering someone would be to lightly set them on fire, quickly airblast into a wall, and quick switch to the Axtinguisher and axe the mother fuckers as they regain movement.

-If you come across another Pyro, always use the Shotgun on them while moving around. More often than not, dumbass Pyros try to kill you with fire. Bullets hurt Pyros more than fire.

-Always Spy check. ALWAYS.

My bullets stay inside your brain like it's your favorite song

RE: Pyro help
Airblast is the most useful thing for a pyro. Engineers will give you e-blowjobs if you airblast stickies away.

Also, a good rule of thumb is to go through paths where the rest of your team doesn't go. That way it's easier to sneak up on enemies if they're paying attention to a certain side of the field.

RE: Pyro help
If you're a noob, don't further noobify yourself by playing pyro. Sad You hurt me man, you hurt me.

RE: Pyro help
heres my advice ignore brownmaster Tongue pyros a fine class he just cant handle the awesome of the pyro. but yea dont w+m1 you wont be as effective if you learn to play pyro the right way (actually use tatics) its kinda like the spy sneak up on enemies flank them. dont ever charge head on unless you have no other option. Big Grin (even though its hard to resist.)

im terribly sorry if the truth hurts really i am. Wink

Actually, in close combat, just watch the arm move and then airblast. Stun balls are probably harder, but just keep your crosshairs trained on the target.
